Ayako Sumi The former adviser to the Hirin Middle School Girl's Kendo Club. She lost her position as adviser when the Girl's Kendo Club and the Boys Kendo Club merged into a single club and a new adviser was appointed.
Although she is not a very good kendoka, she cares deeply about the club and its students.
She was the adviser of the girl's kendo club when Chiba Kirino attended Hirin Middle School.
