Sainess A colleague of Teshusse, Sainess proposes that the Mazone abandon the plan to emigrate to earth and settle instead on the uninhabited planet Beta in the Andromeda galaxy. Motivated by a perceived anti-civilian resentment amongst the Mazone military, Sainess decides to desert with a small band of refugees, but is ultimately murdered by Commander Cassandra.
