Shimon was originally a boxer, winning the national tournament, but once his brother Mamoru Izuna, who is into Gunpla, fell ill, he decides to do Gunpla Battling as well. He becomes the leader of Team FAITH, which represents the Joto Municipal Middle School, and pilots the Destiny Gundam that his brother built while in the hospital.
