Stanislav Kandinsky Junior Sergeant Stanislav Kandinsky is a former Vysotniki who served under Lieutenant Sofiya Pavlovena (now Kapitan Pavlovena, known by Roanapur as Balalaika). He is a skilled sniper able to use the wind to his advantage. Thought dead by his comrades, he was captured by the Mujahideen who utilized his talents by exploiting his addiction to heroine. While he eventually escaped from his captors, he was unable to escape from his addiction. After years of substance abuse, he now lives a miserable life that he is all but willing to end. Now, the only comforts he has are the memories of the past, the calming relief of heroine, and the satisfaction in the successful completion of a mission.
