Isao Ota The loose cannon of the Special Vehicles Second Division, Ota constantly gets himself in over his head which leads to some humorous, interesting, and sometimes even good outcomes.  Ota has a deep love and obsession with guns and although he the type to shoot first and ask questions later, he is actually a really good shot.  He is usually the pilot of Second Division's Unit 2 Patlabor.
